5-Amino-1MQ is a small-molecule inhibitor of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT). Research has examined its effect on NNMT enzymatic activity, cellular nicotinamide and NAD+ pool dynamics, and associated metabolic signalling in adipocyte and skeletal muscle models.
