GHRP-2 is a synthetic hexapeptide growth hormone secretagogue that acts as an agonist at the ghrelin receptor (GHS-R1a). Research has examined its binding at this receptor and the downstream somatotroph signalling associated with growth hormone release, alongside its interaction with GHRH pathways in in-vitro and animal models. It remains a reference compound in secretagogue literature.
